With a love of natural resources and modern materials, we’re a small husband and wife team who create handmade artwork for your home.

Made using sea glass, driftwood and pebbles, we adore creating uniquely beautiful pieces that are full of texture and nature, symbolising life’s little treasures and all made with love.

Meet the makers, two wise souls with creative hearts, based in Abergele, Wales.

We’re Fran and Ivan – an artistic husband and wife duo drawn to the water, and the faces behind Made By Middletons.

For as long as we can remember we’ve always been creative, but somewhere along the way life took over a little bit, not that we minded so much at the time. Now that life's slowing down for us and our children are older, we’ve found our restless hands picking up paintbrushes, glue, wooden frames and all of the natural resources we’ve found along the way.

The result is our very own collection of nature inspired artwork. Crafted using items we’ve carefully collected ourselves from beaches where we live in Wales and many other UK sandy shores, then tenderly pieced together onto canvases ready to display in your home.

We’re rather fond of sourcing our own materials, often spending hours together walking down local Welsh beaches on weekends or holidays away to our favourite coastal abodes within the British Isles.

We’ll stroll along, leisurely parting ways to discover natural treasures washed up ashore. An abundance of pebbles, driftwood and sea glass encourages our footprints to make more marks in the sand.

Some time will pass, although we’re never quite sure how much, and we’ll join back together hand in hand to show each other our treasured finds.

It’s within that moment, fuelled by each others excitement for our new discoveries, that our creative souls bloom further and dream up new masterpieces to peacefully craft when we arrive home.
